This interview from Chri$ Crackle of In The Wake Of is different for two reasons: First, Chri$ set a worlds record in how fast he sent back the answers; and second because he sent back some of the shortest and to the point answers we ever got in an interview. The band comes the San Antonio area of Texas and calls its music "Pop Punk / Post Hardcore / Thrash."
If you check out their MySpace pages, they seem to have a good sense of humor and I think they're sexy. Unfortunately the answers and pics they sent back aren't either, but you can judge for yourself...

1. Introduce the band: Name, age, instrument, and what you want for xmas.

chri$ crackle, 19, throat... daniel whore-ton, 18, bass... mitch money, 16, geetar... shawn doyle, 17, pots and pans... we don't believe in xmas

2. Texas is such a big state. In NY, you can drive for a couple of hours and play Boston, CT, PA, or DC. You drive for a couple of hours in Texas and you're still in Texas! Do you think this helps or hurts Texas bands? Do you have any kind of following outside of your hometown scene? do you think being Texan influences your sound in any way?

how could the size of a state hurt a band? it's just more towns...you don't wanna play that state anymore, just drive out of it. we don't know what our following is, and we honestly try not to keep up with it...we do what we do for US, we don't care if people like it.

3. How come you dont have any mp3s on yr Myspace page, and when can we expect to hear some recordings??

we don't have mp3s because we haven't recorded...but we are recording a full length album the entire week of spring break.

4. Since you dont have mp3s, make believe i just walked into an ITWO show for the first time and heard you play. What am I thinking?

um...we don't know, we're not you...everyone has their own opinions...so you and everyone else will have to tell us...just got to the shows!

5. Tell us about the guys in the band:

- who is the best musician? we couldn't really tell you that, we are just about equal in ability to play everything.
- who writes most of the songs? we all write the songs
- who is the one everybody yells at the most? no one really.
- who gets the most girls? we don't get girls...our music scares them away.

6. Who are some of your big musical heroes and influences? What bands/inlfuences would we hear in your songs?

.musical heroes, influences? we don't have specific people or bands...genres kinda of...ranges from hardcore, pop-punk, hip-hop...anything and everything we can think of.

7. I read your bio and saw that you have already had some member changes. Are you all happy with this lineup and is this the version of In The Wake Of that is going to take over the world?

we are extremely happy with the changes...and yes, this is the lineup that is going to end up on VH1's "when INTHEWAKEOF ruled the world" haha.

8. Seriously what are your goals for 2006? What are you really hoping to do in the next year?

just get the full length CD out and play what and how we want...fuck what people tell us

9. You get a phone call and find out that Green Day, Thursday, and My Chemical Romance all want you to open their next tour. Who do you go on tour with... and why?

none...they all suck...no no excuse me...early thursday was good...so if that's a choice, there you go.
