I know you're from the midwest
but where exactly, and what should we know about your local scene?
We are all from Berea, Ohio. Berea is a suburb of Cleveland and has always had a group of kids that seem to be excited about music and life in general. We have had some awesome shows around where we live that were so memorable. We now live in Columbus and a good scene continues in Berea without us. Columbus is a great city with a lot of great kids also interested in music and adventure. Lots of house shows and lots of smiles have come there already and hopefully good things will keep happening there.

b. Who writes more songs?
We write a pretty equal amount of songs these days and either
way, delay always works together on songs. We all have input.

Who gets more girls? Alan Ringle
d. Who practices more? Mmmm...
usually we all practice together so its pretty equal in the band.

Who has more tattoos? Jesse and Ryan have three.
4. How did the 3 of you become a band? Do you
like being a trio? Have you ever thought of adding another member?
We were all really good friends in elementary school.
We bought Green Day’s Dookie and that made us
all want to start a band extremely bad... so we did! We like being a trio a lot.
We did add a member once, because when we started I stunk so bad
at guitar that I could not play it and sing at the same time. Eventually we became
a trio and I think it will stay that way.
5. Name some of your musical heroes and influences,
and some covers that you do (if any)
Green
Day, The Descendents, The Bouncing Souls, The Ergs, The Merkurs,
The Modern Machines, 7 seconds, Lemuria, Frame, The
Copyrights, Less Than Jake, The Ramones, Minor Threat,
One Man Army, Operation Ivy, The Max Levine Ensemble ... We really do not do too
many covers and its hard to remember what we have done haaha.
6. What do you think of NYC and what were your
experiences like playing here? Would you ever think of moving to a big city like
NY?
We liked NYC when we were
there. It is just an exciting although some what crazy place to be. Pretty mind
blowing if you’re from Ohio. When we played there it was a decent show
at a bar called Desmonds, it was hard to park (very hard), and we did not
get paid. (The guy who set up the show pocketed all the money.) We would love
to come back and take another stab at it. All we'd want is a little something
to help pay for the gas. I dont see us moving to a place as big and crazy as NYC. Who
knows what the future holds though? We have a taken a liking to Ohio to tell you
the truth. It is "The Heart Of It All," ya know.
7. What keeps you
busy when you're not doing the band? School, work, sports, hobbies,
etc.?

Name one song that you wish you had written, and why.
I
wish Delay wrote "JAR" by Green Day. It is just a great song that always
makes me feel good and just sounds good all the way through.
9. Why is Delay such an awesome live band?
Well, we always give our best effort. Jumping up and
down, sweating, and losing our voices is common when we play. Plus a lot of smiling.
